Description
The 1937 Victoria 500 KR9 Fahrmeister was a 498cc flat-twin, four-stroke motorcycle built by Victoria in Germany, known for its reliability. Produced for the civilian market, it was a redesigned version of the KR8, featuring a unique "exhaust over intake" (EOI) valve layout for better cooling and had a four-speed gearbox and chain drive. Its specifications included 15 horsepower, coil ignition, and a carburetor, and it was often equipped with a sidecar. Designed by former BMW engineer Martin Stolle, the 498 cc air-cooled, transverse parallel-twin engine was deeply inclined.
Enclosed bodywork: The engine and four-speed transmission were concealed behind pressed-steel side panels. This example comes out of an old german collection and is known as one of the most original KR9 that survived , the old owner drove it in a lot of rallies.
