Beskrivning
An Unique Motorcars Cobra 427 from 1978 with a big block is a premium replica of the legendary Shelby 427, built on a rigid steel tubular chassis with a fibreglass body. It features a high-displacement Ford V8 (FE type, 5. 7 to 7. 0 L) mated to a manual gearbox, reinforced independent rear suspension, coilover shock absorbers and a rack-and-pinion steering to handle the torque and remain road usable.
The styling faithfully echoes the 427 SC: side-pipes, Halibrand-style wheels, roll cage, race-inspired minimalist interior, making it a highly sought-after 70s replica.

Chassis & suspension:
- Unique Motorcars uses a tubular steel chassis with substantial-diameter main rails (typically 3–4 inches) with reinforced crossmembers and a specific engine cradle to support the massive big-block torque (about 600–700 Nm).
- It incorporates mounting points for double unequal-length A-arms, reinforced Jaguar or Ford rear axle, and widened geometry for stability, with high torsional stiffness thanks to multiple welds and bracing.
- Designed in the 1970s for powerful V8s like the 427/ 428 ci (7 litres), this chassis resists excessive flex under torque, with reinforced bushes and a widened rear track compared to the 289 models.
- Metal subframe integrated with the chassis acting as a mounting for openings: fewer vibrations, better fit of openings, no stress on the shell which only performs its original role as an aerodynamic skin without structural function.
- Front suspension with bespoke LSA-type geometry: upper and lower wishbones of different lengths to ensure the tyres sit at a right angle to the road over bumps. Aluminium control arms based on GM components accepting various disc sizes (up to large diameters).
- Adjustable coil-over shock absorbers whose loads are taken up by a vertical X-structure as in the original Cobras.
- Rear suspension and independent-wheel Salisbury Jaguar XJS-type rear axle.
- Ford 9-inch or reinforced Jaguar Type E live axle, with limited-slip differential (LSD), widened axle and massive half-shafts to absorb ~600–700 Nm from the big block
- Reduction of vibrations transmitted to the main chassis thanks to the axle cradle.
- Optimisation of rear suspension mounting points.
- Quick-ratio rack-and-pinion steering (typically 3 turns), direct and precise, often sourced from Shelby or adapted for a tight turning circle, with reinforced bushes against V8 vibrations
Interior:
- Black interior with black seats
- Black carpeting
- Four-point harness-type seat belts
