* FOR SALE* PORSCHE 993 TARGA // POLAR SILVER OVER METROPOLE BLUE // EXCEPTIONAL HISTORY - 27 SERVICE STAMPS

Equipment
Polar Silver, Blue Metropole Leather, 6 Speed Manual, AC, 18 inch Carrera RS Wheels, Rear Hoop Spoiler with 3rd Brake Light, Electric Panoramic Retractable Glass Roof, Electric Window Blind, Porsche Fitted Mats, Rear Wiper, Cruise Control, Top Tinted Windscreen, CD / MP3 Head Unit, Door Tweeters

EXTERIOR
Modestly proportioned the clean, simple lines of the 993 generation were a fitting end to the air cooled era of 911. Presented in a classic shade of Polar Silver metallic this 993 Targa has stood the test of time well; carrying over the integrated extending rear spoiler from the 964 and the first generation to sport a panoramic ‘Targa’ roof. The paired back design means the car still looks sharp 25 years after the design first came to life.

Overall the exterior of the car shows in very clean condition, with the metallic paintwork still showing with a consistent shine and just a handful of minor stone chips to note.

INTERIOR
A classic contrast to the silver exterior, this 993 Targa is upholstered in blue leather which spans the doors, dashboard and wonderfully supportive sports seats. Condition of the interior is tidy throughout, with minimal wear to the leather seats and the blue carpets showing free from any stains or damage. Specified with air conditioning and a CD / MP3 radio system the interior of the 993 is more than comfortable to use on a daily basis.

The added benefit of the Targa roof creates an open air feel whilst much less exposed to the elements than in a conventional drop top.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The last of the air-cooled 911s the 993’s 3. 6L engine was initially similar to the previous generation, but an update saw a VarioRam system fitted which increased mid range torque and boosted power from 272bhp to 285bhp. Benefitting from the updated engine this 993 Targa still feels quick, even by model standards, managing 60 mph in just 6. 4 seconds and going onto a top speed of 168mph.

In November 2025, the car underwent a substantial engine-out service by Pickup Motor Sport, costing over £5, 000. The work involved replacement of the clutch, clutch fork, clutch shaft with seals, timing chain cover gasket and cam gaskets.

For security and storage purposes when not in use, a convenient kill switch has been installed on the battery.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted at each corner the 18 inch RS split rims show in very good condition, free from any signs of corrosion or curbing, and are wrapped in matching Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres all showing plenty of life. Brakes present with clean calipers and plenty of disc / pad life remaining.

Treated in 2023 to a suspension overhaul with renowned specialists Centre Gravity, the car now runs a trusted Bilstein & Eibach spring combination alongside a ‘classic geometry’ set up.

HISTORY FILE
This Targa was first registered by Chapelgate Porsche in January of 1996.

With two service books that show 27 service stamps combined amongst several long life condition reports, airbag system checks and brake fluid changes. The history file supports the service work further with paperwork as far back as 1999.

Both Paul Stephens and London specialists have attended to the car’s service and parts requirements over recent years with the last service including plugs, oil and filters carried out at 97k miles in early 2025.

All in all a real enthusiast’s 993 that presents and performs very well indeed.
