We are excited to offer this low mileage, 1 owner, Ferrari Mondial 3. 2 Cabriolet presented in a very well maintained. Nicknamed the Pecaro Nera (black sheep) of Maranello, the Mondial caused quite a mixed reaction when first unveiled being a Ferrari that had a broader appeal to the masses and more of an everyday driver. The Mondial up to ’88, like this example, shared its drivetrain with the earlier 308, however being a much more forgiving and roomier version thanks to the 100mm length extension and 2+2 configuration.
This fantastic example presented here has had just 1 current owner from new, a famous British composer, registered the 1st May 1988, and has only covered just over 38, 000 miles in total. The car was originally a UK ordered car, however was patriated to the suitable climate in Avignon in the South of France with its owner during his time living there, always being garaged and covered, and arrived back to the UK last year and has been fully re-registered and duties paid.
Retaining its total originality, the external and internal condition remain superbly consistent, demonstrating the carefully maintained ownership. The paintwork finished in Grigio Metallizato displays the attention dedicated to its care, with the very scarce minor blemish, and the interior leather has been re-connolised.
The Ferrari keeps a full service history from both its time in the South of France and its time here, by Bell Sport and Classic, being last comprehensively serviced the 08/ 25, including a cambelt and auxiliary belts change, totalling to over £5000, and also has a current MOT until November. Unfortunately the original Maranello concessionaires service book has been misplaced however. It has also recently had a new hood fitted. Included in the sale is also the original tool set and tonneau. Please note that unfortunately the hazard lights are not currently working, although the individual indicators are functioning as normal.
