Citroën AC4 Special 1931
Citroën (Milano) AC4 Special of 1931 restored during 2020/ 21; the sheet‑metal bodywork was rebuilt and moulded to resemble a 1930s racing car, and the paintwork and finishes have the look of a car that has been preserved and never restored.
The chassis as the engine are original and have not been modified, only restored; the chassis was stripped of its components, sandblasted and repainted, the brakes and wheel bearings are new, as is the electrical system, rebuilt and brought to 12 volts with alternator. The original 1800 four‑cylinder engine was opened and some components replaced, others refurbished, such as the cylinder head.
The wheels were sandblasted and painted, also with inner tubes and new tyres.
The car originally was a torpedo built at the Milanese plant of Citroën Italia. The original licence plate corresponding to the chassis is present with a chronological extract noting the inscription "macchina agricola" (agricultural vehicle). In any case the car is to be re‑registered as it was scrapped officially. A few photographs of the process are available. It still needs a mechanical tune‑up.
Although the car is listed for sale, a partial part‑exchange with a car of my interest is possible; I do not deal in motorcycles.
