A complete remastering by the team here at Retro. Started as a 1997 Defender 90, and is now a full-custom Retro Ragtop build finished in Santorini Black Metallic.
The engine is a 300Tdi re-bored to 2. 8L, paired with a 5-speed manual R380 gearbox and LT230 transfer box, all completely rebuilt. Suspension is lowered 1" with Dual Reservoir Fox shock absorbers, and the axles have been fully reconditioned with new drive shafts.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in tan leather across the heated front seats, dashboard, rear bench seats, and cubby box. Custom Iroko wood features on the floors and tub finish. A Moto Lita wood steering wheel, Series II gear knobs, and Series door cards keep the classic feel intact. Media is handled by an Apple CarPlay head unit with four speakers and a removable Marshall Kilburn II speaker. Wireless phone charging, a reversing camera, and upgraded 3-speed heating and air conditioning are also fitted.
The roof is a black mohair ragtop with side windows, with a black mohair bikini also included. Series III doors with removable tops add further open-air flexibility.
Exterior details include colour-coded +50mm wheel arches, 18" 1983 alloys on BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres, a Puma bonnet, and a folding windscreen. A gloss-black stainless-steel Retro grille set and a matching front bumper with DRLs, smoked LED side lights, and LED headlights complete the look. A custom stainless steel exhaust and NAS rear step complete the look at the rear.
