Description
Plymouth’s P15 Super De Luxe is an automotive cornerstone in American history combining the prewar styling with post war prosperity. Its nostalgic round fenders and reverse hinged rear doors pay homage to heritage enveloping a well-appointed luxurious interior with comfort features that include a radio and heater for its passengers in the 122in long wheelbase cabin. Built by parent Chrysler, its 6 cylinder flathead unit produced respectable to this day 95 bhp and 233 Nm output allowing downtown motoring as well as long-stretch cruising with ease and grace.
The 1948 Special De Luxe offered was produced in the special shade of deep Chevron blue over light gray cloth interior. In 2007 it was sourced in the US by a marque historian who later had it become part of a private collection in the drier climate of Athens, Greece. It now presents in remarkably authentic condition throughout and offered to find a new home.
