Description
This is our favourite daily driver. Speed, presence, precision and luxury — yes, we are talking about a Defender. Considering we’ve always thought the original Defender was one of the worst cars ever made (brave, but true), the transformation with the OCTA is nothing short of remarkable. Land Rover has created something truly special here.
Luxurious Specification
The front seats perfectly sum up the character of this car. Sporty enough to hold you firmly in place when pressing on, yet comfortable enough for hours behind the wheel. At the touch of a button they can heat or cool, while the Body and Soul system adds another dimension — gentle pulses for relaxation or haptic feedback that syncs with the bass, turning every drive into an experience.

Drive
There’s no hiding from the monster of an engine under the bonnet. Despite weighing 2. 7 tonnes, the OCTA launches from 0–62mph in under 4 seconds, performance that many modern hot hatches would struggle to match. But what impresses most is the effortless way it delivers that pace.
The suspension engineering is simply remarkable. Potholes, rough roads, winding country lanes or long motorway journeys — the OCTA takes everything in its stride. You would expect a tall, heavy and powerful SUV to pitch and roll, but that isn’t the case here. The composure is extraordinary, it's easy to see how it tackled the Paris–Dakar.
Summary
Looks, power, comfort, space and all-terrain capability - the OCTA has it all. In oinion, the benchmark for powerful daily SUVs has a new king
