Sometimes it's the simplest ideas that breed the greatest successes. Launched in 1948, the 2 CV is the embodiment of the popular economy car, which would not end its career until forty years later. 3rd hand, the model illustrated on these pages has been completely restored. Our 2 CV is in near-perfect condition, with its domed trunk, optional dashboard clock and Robri accessories. The undercarriages look as good as new, as does the interior, which has been fitted with canvas suspension seats. Note that it still wears its interior plastic protection on the doors. First production 2CVs are becoming hard to find in good condition and at reasonable prices. Our example is worthy of note for a 1950s model.
