Exterior / Body:
The model shown here is an October 1997 XK8 Convertible in its original colour “Sapphire Metallic JGE” (matching colour).
This one is fitted with 20'' BBS wheels and the XKR louvers hood to enhance its sporting character.
The paint depth and gloss are excellent.
After a professional polish with an orbital machine by our workshop, we noted very light stone chipping on the front face (below usual standards), small chips on the driver’s door and its beltline, and a small micro-scratch on the left rear wing.
As this example is equipped with rear parking aid, the rear bumper shows no defects.
The electric mohair roof in “navy blue” is fully functional and in very good condition.
It features a glass rear screen.
A small scuff remains visible on the passenger side. We noted the absence of the interior tonneau handle cap. The overall airtightness is good.
This example is also equipped with its beige faux leather hood cover in excellent condition. A small snag (1cm) is visible on the passenger side.
This example is equipped with an electric antenna.
The 4 20’’ BBS wheels are in very good condition apart from some curb marks on the front rims.
All 4 tyres will be replaced with new prior to delivery.
We also noted the presence of the original donut spare wheel and jack.

Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition. The leather upholstery “Oatmeal AGD” is electrically adjustable, with memory and heating, in perfect condition, though we noted some patina on the seat bolster.
All on-board instruments are fully functional, original JAGUAR clock included.
The mirror shows delamination on the lower portion.
The dashboard is in excellent condition. Wood veneers show no discolouration, crazing or lacquer wear. A colour difference is noticeable on the passenger window switch. Plastics show no deformation. Only the right rear trim has a small snag (1cm).
The door casings match the upholstery with no defects.
The headlining was replaced in 2019 (Invoice €1, 800).
Air conditioning remains non-functional.
The original radio works, but the cassette mode and the 6-CD changer are non-functional.
Jaguar branded floor mats in very good condition, no stains. A small cut (5cm) is visible on the driver’s door entry mat.
The interior sills show some scuff marks.
Among the interior features, noteworthy are: XKR leather / burr walnut steering wheel, electric seats, heated seats, and cruise control.
Chassis:
Wheel-raising on the ramp confirms a solid shell with no obvious structural corrosion.
The basics: floors, longitudinals and sills are in excellent condition.
Notes on condition: as a rule we cannot guarantee perfection of alignment beyond their visually and functionally good state validated during the on-road test and ramp inspection.
During the dynamic test, no abnormal rattles from the body or suspension components were detected.
Braking is straight and provides excellent bite.
Front and rear discs show 30% wear.
Pads show 40% wear at the front and 50% at the rear.
A pre-delivery technical inspection by our workshop will confirm full functionality.
Engine / Transmission:
The mechanicals operate perfectly.
Road test by our workshop confirms a very healthy V8.
The 8-cylinder starts perfectly, with no unusual noises; idle is steady, as confirmed by the 360° video with engine running at the start of the slideshow.
Once up to temperature, the engine revs smoothly without hiccups or overheating.
The 5-speed automatic shifts up and down without sticking or excessive slip.
As is often the case with English cars, the engine/ gearbox seals are only average.
