Offered for sale: a truly beautiful VW Beetle 1302 finished in the stunning original color Marina Blue. An exceptionally honest and attractive car with a remarkable history, having had only 3 owners since new.
This Beetle is in fantastic condition and has recently received a high-quality repaint. What truly makes this car special, however, is its beautiful original interior. Everything breathes authenticity: the original Blaupunkt radio, original carpet set, headliner, and upholstery are all still original and remain in exceptionally well-preserved condition.
The odometer currently shows 14, 438 km. Judging by the condition of the interior, seats, and the overall car, we believe this remarkable survivor has covered approximately 114, 438 km. Even the original 44 hp engine is still in place — exactly as delivered from the factory.
This Beetle was first delivered in 1971 to Christel Euler. A few years later, ownership was transferred to her husband, Karl Euler. The couple lived in Aarbergen-Michelbach, a small village near Frankfurt with only around 2, 200 inhabitants.
Karl and Christel Euler were deeply involved in their local community and played an important role within the Walter-Großer-Haus and the local branch of Lebenshilfe, an organization dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities. During the late 1960s and 1970s, they were among the founding members of the local Lebenshilfe group, driven by the desire to improve support and living conditions for residents in the Aarbergen area.
The Beetle was taken off the road in 2017 and, in April 2018, was registered to its third owner from Ludwigshafen. This means the car has had only 3 owners in 55 years — with the first two owners even living under the same roof. A truly rare and special provenance.
Everything about this Beetle shows that it has never had a hard life and was only sparingly used over the years. This is a genuine time capsule, where every component has aged beautifully together. That sense of originality simply cannot be recreated — a Beetle is only original once.
