A compulsory fee of £195 + VAT will be added to the buyer's invoice for this service. This Lot may not be collected from the auction venue by the purchaser or any third-party transporter until Shippio Ltd has confirmed that this Lot has cleared customs.

Better known for their racing and road-going multi-cylinder machines, MV Agusta also built a range of single and twin-cylinder sports bikes during the 1960s and 1970s. Intermittently available in Britain throughout this period, their high price meant that they were never top sellers. Introduced at the Milan Show in 1971, MV's first production 350 roadster was basically an over-bored version of the existing 250B model that had been around since 1967. Of unitary construction, the engine was a compact, twin-cylinder overhead-valve unit breathing through twin Dell'Orto carburettors and featuring gear primary drive to a five-speed transmission. Claimed maximum power was 32bhp and top speed in excess of 90mph. Two versions were made: the touring 350GT and sports 350B, both of which were updated with 12-volt electrics and electronic ignition in October 1972. They were replaced by re-styled 'square case' equivalents for 1975.

Currently displaying a total of 37, 164 kilometres (23, 093 miles) on the odometer, this 350GT has been restored and would respond well to detailing (the engine turns over).

Following a period of inactivity, this motorcycle will require recommissioning and/ or restoration to a greater or lesser extent before returning to the road and thus is sold strictly as viewed. Prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves with regard to this motorcycle's completeness, history, authenticity, originality and mechanical condition prior to bidding.

£2, 000 - 3, 000

All lots are sold ‘as is/ where is’ and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams Motorcycles website for all pertinent auction information.
