Southern Roadcraft was a highly respected British kit car manufacturer founded in 1984 by brothers Ian and Brian Nicholls in Brighton, West Sussex. Operating throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the company built an enviable reputation among automotive enthusiasts for its robust engineering, exceptional build quality, and accurate proportions.
Their replication of AC's Shelby 427 (SRV8) was their most famous and well-respected vehicle, combining a bespoke GRP body with a highly rigid steel ladder-frame chassis and integrated steel tub, normally powered by a lightweight aluminium Rover V8 or a Chevrolet V8
Very well presented in Midnight Blue metallic with classic Shelby stripes in white over a black leather interior, this example offers classic Cobra styling complete with a tonneau cover and purposeful period-inspired detailing
Powered by a 5. 7-litre Chevrolet V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, delivering the strong performance and soundtrack expected of a Cobra recreation
Built as a true replica of the Shelby 427, the car has been correctly registered and benefits from MOT and tax exempt status by virtue of its 1972 registration
This well-maintained example is said to drive and present well and is accompanied by a good history file documenting previous ownership and maintenance
Offered with its history file, V5C and tonneau cover, this Southern Roadcraft Cobra represents an appealing opportunity to enjoy V8 performance and classic open-top motoring
