JAGUAR XK140 FHC 1955
Presented in Imperial Maroon with contrasting Biscuit leather and matching Maroon carpets. Factory overdrive, wire wheels and tool kit.
This Example was supplied new by Sturgess Jaguar in Leicester and built to the exact specification of Mr Taylor of J B Taylor. The very extensive history portfolio includes original log books from new, drivers note books and Mot Tests going back over nearly 50 years etc. Purchased in 1965 by a gentleman who retained her for 23 years subsequently selling her to a personal friend and neighbour when he became a father. He retained her for 39 years, during which time she was given a total body off and mechanical restoration by a well regarded Historic Jaguar restoration specialist and it has covered about 11000 miles since this work. When he passed away his widow sold the XK to the son of the previous owner who her husband had purchased it from.
This is a British matching numbers, original colours and specification XK140 with detailed history, including photographs, from new. We have driven this glorious XK over 200 miles and she performed impeccably.
Whilst being MOT exempt she has been MOT tested.
