With this Defender we are looking at a project that goes beyond a simple renovation; it is a rebirth whose aim is to improve aesthetics, performance and bring its equipment up to date. - An exceptional base, uncompromising work
It all starts with a low-mileage vehicle, in excellent condition with an impeccable service history backed by a full set of invoices. This Defender has nonetheless been completely dismantled. Bodywork, mechanics and the chassis were separated piece by piece, down to the last screw, to start from scratch, leaving nothing to chance. All mechanical parts and the chassis were sanded and powder-coated before reassembly. The suspensions, bushings, ball joints and the entire braking system have undergone a complete overhaul. Only original manufacturer parts or parts of equivalent quality were used. The engine, already in perfect condition, was serviced and re-mapped to exceed 150 hp and edge close to 380 Nm of torque.
- Bodywork: towards a more refined style
Before being cloaked in a superb lacquered finish, the bodywork benefited from meticulous sanding. The sills were stripped, treated and covered with an anti-gravel coating. To properly cover the beautiful 18-inch wheels equipped with BF Goodrich tyres, the wings were fitted with 30 mm wider arches in a style that respects the original DNA. All fittings, hubcaps and badges are finished in black. The rear windows are tinted. To keep things sober, there is no exuberant bull bar here, but a Glohh lighting signature that showcases LEDs effectively and recognisably. Only sidesteps, a wheel carrier and a tow bar complete the exterior equipment.
- Interior: luxury at the heart of the off-roader
It is inside that the transformation takes on its full dimension. The interior is one of the major elements of this customization. Opening the door reveals a trim that blends grey leather with tartan fabric in a pairing as elegant as it is unprecedented on this type of 4x4. Most elements have been bespoke trimmed. Under the large Alcantara headlining at the front are two Recaro sport seats with unmatched comfort and support. Behind the sport steering wheel, the dashboard is equipped with a built‑in Stinger multimedia system with a 10‑inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation and a rear-view camera. The gear levers are also clad in leather. Air conditioning, electric windows and central locking complete the equipment.
