The Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser is one of the most iconic four-wheel-drive vehicles ever built, earning a worldwide reputation for toughness, reliability, and simplicity. The FJ40 helped establish Toyota’s reputation for building vehicles that could withstand extreme environments. It proved itself in the deserts of Africa, the mountains of South America, the Australian Outback, and remote regions across Asia and the Middle East.
The Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser offered here at Autostorico is a 1980 built example example finished in Dune Beige with Black interior trim. This highly sought after example features Toyota’s 2F 6-Cylinder 4. 2 litre engine along with underslung fuel tank, power steering and air conditioning. The car spent its early years in Indonesia passing through 4 owners and covering 161, 119 Kms.
In 2015 the car was subject to a documented no expense spared restoration undertaken by Fearless FJ40 in Bali. Works started with a complete body off bare metal respray with the chassis being stripped and repainted. Attention then passed to mechanicals with the transmission and 4 x 4 system rebuilt along with new suspension components. The engine cylinder head was stripped and rebuilt including new valve seals and gaskets. WARN locking front wheel hubs fitted along with new steel OEM 16” Wheels and all terrain tyres. Attention then passed to the interior with new doors cards and headlining fitted and a re-wire.
The car entered the United Kingdom in 2022 and was registered with the DVLA as a Historic Vehicle.
