This MG TF has a interesting history as it was originally owned & registered new to MG Rover group in 2005 and is believed to have been a MG works factory test/ promotional/ fleet vehicle and then purchased by a senior MG employee when MG/ Rover group went into administration and was effectively mothballed & put into heated dry storage where it would remain for 11+ years up until it's discovery in 2017 and has clearly been loved and very well looked after over the years and is an exceptionally clean ultra low mileage example which drives beautifully and would suit a MG enthusiast looking for a very nice low mileage useable car to be driven and enjoyed all year round and is now 21 years old and already a highly desirable modern future classic with all the character & charm of a classic MG roadster with the benefit of modern comforts such as a working heater and power steering making this an excellent choice for all year round usability & enjoyment!

EXTERIOR
The exterior of this MG TF roadster is in beautiful condition throughout & has clearly been very well looked after by MG enthusiasts and has survived so well thanks to being kept off the road mothballed for over 11 years in dry storage conditions and considering this MG TF is now 21 years old it has covered exceptionally low mileage and has clearly been garaged and very well looked after with only a couple of tiny age related marks as one would/ should expect but we are being ultra fussy and has been kept throughout its life as a 2nd cars used as a summer/ weekend toy and it remains in superb condition throughout and is a real credit to it's previous owners and still presents beautifully and is a very honest and useable example with a excellent underside condition still retaining P. D. I markings confirming careful usage in dry weather conditions with excellent wheel arch lips and sills which is a rarity these days! - The black mohair roof with upgraded heated glass rear window is in excellent condition and even the original MG badges & wing badges have not faded and needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as we doubt you will find a cleaner late production ultra low mileage example within this price bracket with the benefit of a wonderful & interesting provenance!
INTERIOR
The interior of this MG TF is in beautiful condition & clearly very well looked after condition throughout and has never been smoked in or abused and even the original black leather sport seats are in excellent condition as are the seat bolsters with none of the usual wear, their are 2 tiny marks to the passenger side carpet which is were it is believed a piece of equipment was fitted by MG Group in 2005 for testing which is part of the cars history and even the original MG overmat's are pristine complete with the upgraded factory options of a radio/ cd player along with a 6cd changer fitted in the boot and a black factory MG Tonneau cover!
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original four cylinder 1796cc engine produces 135 BHP enabling a top speed of 0-60 in 8. 2 seconds - the mid mounted engine and rear wheel drive configuration make it a perfect sports car to be used and enjoyed on the country lane's
WHEELS & TYRES
The factory fitted 15'' V-Spoke alloy wheels are in excellent original condition and it still sits on it's original factory fitted Continental tyres which are in very good condition and kept for originality and confirmation of the ultra low mileage covered (If you are planning to use this car regularly we would advise these be replaced with new tyres) and this example still retains the original unused factory optional spare wheel and complete toolkit in the original leatherette tool bag complete with locking wheel nut key as supplied new!

HISTORY FILE
This MG TF has an interesting history as it was registered new on the 08/ 03/ 2005 to MG Rover Group and is believed to have been used initially as a MG works test/ promotional/ fleet vehicle (copy of original V5 document present showing registered to MG Rover Group & 2 small holes remain to the passenger side carpet where it is believed a piece of equipment was fitted when new in 2005 by MG for testing purposes!) infact the car covered most of it's mileage in the first few months of it's life and sadly with the demise of MG Rover group it was then purchased by a senior MG factory employee on the MG/ Rover group employee scheme and the car was mothballed & kept in heated dry storage conditions off the ground with the wheels removed & fluids drained for the next 11+ years as a potential investment up until 2016 when it was removed from storage and quickly sold to an MG enthusiast Mr Podmore on the 06/ 09/ 2016 (approx 5100 miles) and the car had it's first ever MOT test completed on the 06/ 05/ 2017 at 5259 miles and was then offered for sale to a family friend Mr Woodward on the 29/ 04/ 2018 at 5451 miles and offered in 2019 at 5581 miles by a specialist low mileage motor dealer where it was featured in the March 2019 Classic Car Weekly newspaper and also featured on a independent Youtube video in 2019 (- details above) is certainly worth a watch and described as '' A survivor MG TF and as close to an as new MG TF as you are likely to find '' at the point of sale this MG TF had a service including a replacement timing belt/ water pump fitted and was quickly sold to Mr Waddington on the 09/ 03/ 2019 at 5587 miles who again was a MG enthusiast who was looking for a superb ultra low mileage example that had been loved and cherished as a summer/ weekend toy but was hardly use and was kept until 2020 when it was offered for sale and was purchased by a Mr Green from North Yorkshire with just 6087 miles who was an avid MG enthusiast going back to the 1970s who had previously owned several MG models and his last was a beautiful low mileage immaculate MG TF 160 which sadly was written off due to a severe storm where his garage flooded and the car was deemed uneconomical to repair and Mr Green was absolutely gutted and so the lengthy search started to find an immaculate ultra low mileage example to replace his previous MG TF and was delighted to find this car and was garaged and kept as his pride and joy using the car very sparingly only on special occasions in strictly dry weather conditions up until 2023 when sadly Mr Green passed away and for sentimental reasons the car was kept in dry storage and was transferred to his daughters name and address until the 14/ 09/ 2025 when we purchased the car with just 6662 miles where we removed it from storage and we sent the car to our local & trusted MG specialist PK Automotive in Wigan where it was treated to a service & heath check on the 03/ 10/ 2025 @ 6755 miles (oil service & replacement spark plugs) where it passed with flying colours and has been kept in our own personal & varied car collection since under a indoor car cover!
This MG TF comes complete with its original MG book pack/ service book, 2 keys & fobs as supplied new along with a nice history file including service book & maintenance invoices (timing belt & water pump replaced @ 5551 miles) along with old MOT certificates, HPI certificate to confirm no damage, stolen or finance history along with a letter of provenance to confirm the history & mileage!
This MG comes complete with a full 12 months MOT until 22/ 06/ 2027 (no advisories) and was last serviced by our trusted local MG specialist PK automotive in Wigan on the 03/ 10/ 2025 @ 6755 miles and has covered just 20 miles since!!
SUMMARY
This MG TF 135 BHP roadster is a late facelift production model and one of the last MG TF models to be built at the Longridge factory before the demise of MG/ Rover group and are considered by enthusiasts to be arguably the best MG TF as being the facelift model it has had the benefit of several upgrades such as revised headgasket, heated rear glass window and low coolant loss warning sensor not to mention the fantastic soft ride suspension which makes this MG TF an absolute pleasure to drive!!!
