Vehicle history:
The Toyota J40 is a model designation for the Toyota Land Cruiser Series 40, which Toyota manufactured in Japan from 1960 to 1984. In 1974, the BJ40 and BJ43 models appeared as the first “B” models. They were fitted with 3. 0-litre R4 diesel engines.
This Land Cruiser was delivered new to Portugal in 1980. After 40 years, the vehicle was then completely restored by a specialist—down to the last bolt. This model is the short-wheelbase diesel version as a BJ40. After the restoration, a collector from Germany bought this car, along with another BJ40 that had also been restored to a perfect standard. The collector had the vehicle fully inspected and approved in Germany. This Toyota can now be registered at any time with an H-plate. In addition, this BJ40 has a tow hitch.
