Description
Inspired by Ferrari's glorious front-engined grand tourers of the 1950s and 1960s, the Roma represents a return to understated elegance, combining timeless Italian styling with genuinely exhilarating performance. It is a Ferrari that has received universal praise from the British motoring press, with Autocar describing it as "the GT car as an art form" and commending its sublime balance of refinement, agility and everyday usability, whilst evo concluded that it fulfils its brief as both a sports car and long-distance grand tourer with remarkable success.
Supplied new in 2024, this outstanding example has covered just 4, 700 miles from new and has had only two keepers. Finished in the sophisticated and rarely bettered combination of Nero Daytona over Nero leather, it perfectly complements the Roma's beautifully restrained design, allowing its clean proportions and elegant surfacing to speak for themselves.
Beneath the sculpted bonnet lies Ferrari's acclaimed 3. 9-litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing 620 PS and driving the rear wheels through the marque's latest eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, derived from the SF90 Stradale. The result is extraordinary performance, with 0-62 mph achieved in just 3. 4 seconds before continuing to a top speed of 199 mph, yet it is the effortless manner in which the Roma delivers its performance that truly distinguishes it. Whether cruising quietly across Europe or tackling an empty British B-road, it displays a breadth of ability few modern GT cars can match. Road testers particularly praised its fluid ride quality, beautifully judged steering and remarkable chassis balance, noting that it possesses an agility more commonly associated with Ferrari's mid-engined models whilst retaining the comfort expected of a true grand tourer.
