Introduced in 2011, the second generation Continental GTC marks a major evolution in the model's history. Drawing on the Continental GT architecture, it benefits from a thoroughly revised chassis, an even higher level of finish and modernised design that retains all of Bentley's identity.
The Continental GTC remains today one of the benchmarks in the Grand Touring convertible segment. Capable of covering long distances in exceptional comfort whilst delivering first-rate performance, it perfectly embodies the expertise of the Crewe manufactory.
In 2012, Bentley introduced the new 4. 0-litre V8 bi-turbo developing 507 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque. It was developed to offer a lighter and more dynamic alternative to the traditional W12. Thanks to its modern architecture and cylinder deactivation technology, this engine combines performance and flexibility whilst retaining the refinement inherent to the marque.
Delivered new by the Monaco dealership, this GTC was subsequently acquired by Bentley Paris, which sold it to its second owner. Having remained within the official Bentley network since its inception, it has always benefited from meticulous maintenance and servicing exclusively carried out by the marque's workshops, guaranteeing an impeccable history. On the occasion of its sale, it has just undergone a complete overhaul at Bentley Paris workshops.
The 4. 0-litre V8 proves particularly flexible and responsive. The twin turbochargers deliver substantial torque from the lowest revs, offering brisk acceleration and particularly enjoyable driving regardless of conditions.
Power is transmitted via a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox, renowned for its responsiveness and smooth operation. Gear changes are fluid and seamless.
The permanent all-wheel drive system ensures excellent traction regardless of road conditions and fully contributes to the sense of security and serenity that characterises the Continental GTC.
The chassis offers an excellent compromise between comfort and dynamism. The adaptive suspension effectively absorbs road imperfections whilst ensuring excellent body control when the pace quickens.
Braking proves powerful and perfectly durable, whilst the running gear retains all the rigour expected of a modern Bentley.
The bodywork presents a very fine overall condition in this elegant Jetstream shade, particularly rare on a Continental GTC.
The dark blue alpaca soft top, accompanied by its wind deflector, is in excellent condition and integrates harmoniously with the overall design. Its operation is perfectly functional.
The alloy wheels complement this particularly refined configuration with elegance. The various bodywork elements, lights and chrome trim are in excellent condition.
The interior offers a remarkable presentation and perfectly reflects the level of manufacturing quality inherent to Bentley. The Imperial Blue leather upholstery is in excellent condition and harmonises beautifully with the exterior colour. For rainy weather, it comes with its Bentley umbrella.
The optional Piano Black inserts bring a contemporary and elegant touch to the whole, subtly contrasting with the leather and emphasising the modern character of this Continental GTC. Every control, door panel and centre console bears witness to the care lavished on this automobile.
