- details above
Splendid example of a Ducati 900 MHR First Series produced in 1980. This is an extremely rare and sought-after version, characterised by the prestigious frame with DM900SS prefix, the same as the legendary 900 Super Sport, and frame number 901090.
The motorcycle is in impeccable condition and runs perfectly. Technical Details and Originality: Engine: Number 091624, absolutely consistent with the frame. "Bevel gear" square-case architecture of 864cc. Starting: Strictly by kickstart, typical of the first series. Bodywork: Single-piece integral fairing (no cuts), tank with fibreglass shell and original red/ green livery in excellent condition. Components: Dell'Orto PHM 40 carburettors with intake trumpets, original Conti silencers from the period (unmistakable sound), original alloy wheels. Condition: The motorcycle has been maintained with extreme care, regularly started and mechanically checked. Chassis and brakes (Brembo) ready to ride. Collector's Notes.
This example belongs to the series produced immediately after the first 300 units of the 1979 homologation, maintaining its intact appeal and technical specifications, before the modifications introduced with mass production in 1981. It's a piece with a frame/ engine combination that's extremely rare to find in this state of preservation.
