For sale is my VW Karmann Ghia Coupe. The car was first registered in May 1964, and I have owned the car for the last five years. During that time I have had the front and rear bumpers replaced with stainless steel ones. The exhaust pipes are also been replaced with new ones made of stainless steel. I had a new laminated windscreen fitted four years ago, as the old one was badly scratched. At the same time the old screen rubbers were replaced with the original chrome trim pieces and new rubbers. All four brakes have been overhauled; and new brake cylinders, brake pipes and brake shoes have been fitted where necessary. All this work was carried out by Martin McGarry of the Karmann Ghia Motorworks. He also repainted the roof in white. The car was featured prominently on the front and back cover of the January 2007 issue of the Karmann Komment magazine.
The car is not concours, and as can be seen from the photo will need the sill on the driver’s side replacing. The MOT runs out at the end of May. I have used the car regularly, and it would suit someone, who is looking for a usable Karmann Ghia Coupe, which can be enjoyed every day. This is a genuine early right-hand drive coupe, models of which are now quite rare.
