Description
The 40YOC Limited Edition was made in 2013 to celebrate 40 Years of Caterham Cars. Though the Seven has been in production in one form or other since 1957, it became the Caterham 7 in 1973 when Graham Nearn bought the rights to produce the car from Colin Chapman of Lotus. In that time, thousands of Sevens have hit the road, almost every one unique.
Only 40 cars were adorned with the 40YOC package, which was an option which could be added to any spec of the buyers choice. The package included a custom livery and interior, which included a numbered plaque.
This is number 27 and was ordered as a Series 3 Roadsport with the uprated 140bhp version of the 1. 6L Ford Sigma engine. This two owner car was acquired by its most recent keeper when it was just 18 months old and with less than 2000 miles on the clock. Now with just over 25, 000 miles on the clock and with 10 services completed, this excellently looked after Roadsport is ready for a loving new home.
