Description
1956 Ford Thunderbird 312 ci V8 Auto , subjected to an outstanding nut and bolt restoration . You need to see the car in person to appreciate the quality of work .. It was one of those cars I had to buy as soon as I saw it..
This 1956 model we have here, is well known for upgrades from the 55 model which were the spare wheel to be rear mounted and the port holes in the detachable roof.
The specification on this bird, is top of the range with power steering, power disc brakes , automatic gearbox, and air conditioning.
This superb example has all the looks. It is finished in Fiesta Red with matching hardtop, and a two-tone complimenting interior.
Under the bonnet sits a V8 312 ci engine which produces 225 bhp. This was the preferred option in 56 , the most powerful of the engine options. It purrs on tick over and has plenty of acceleration when needed.
Most importantly the Thunderbird has undergone a detailed complete nut and bolt frame off rotisserie restoration.
We have photo documentation of the process.
The Thunderbird was restored approximately twelve years ago and since then it has resided in a private collection in an air-conditioned museum style building , then treasured by its last custodian, who is known to us, and fastidious .
The quality of the restoration would comfortably cost in the region of £100, 000 in today’s market.
I would humbly suggest that it may be the best in Europe at present. This really is a car not to be missed.
I'd happily take any car in part exchange and car arrange delivery .
Please call Andrew for details ..
