1982 Land Rover Series 3 2. 25 petrol SWB with Fairy overdrive.
Finished in timeless Marine Blue with an Oxford Tan Exmoor trim interior, this fully restored Series was rebuilt onto a new galvanized chassis and treated to a full respray just a few years ago.
Just serviced with a new Exmoor trim hood, new Weber carb and fuel pump (added since the pictures were taken) as well as a full health check in preparation for the new owner.
Full Exmoor Trim interior including heated Puma XS seats for additional comfort and support. Canvas door cards from Exmoor and leather trimmed cubby box/ armrest and cupholder combo provide useful storage space. Exmoor full carpet set and rubber over mats add a sense of luxury and additional sound proofing. Re trimmed leather steering wheel adds additional style points and comfort.
Upgraded Michelin Latitude all terrain tyres 750/ 16 tyres on powder coated limestone rims give a sure footed ride both on and off the road and are a great all weather tyre.
Towbar and electrics and a convenient swing out rear door for ease of entry to the rear. Full length rear bench seats, trimmed to match those in the front, provide seating for four. Lap belts and Exmoor Trim rear storage.
Fully rebuilt 2. 25-litre petrol engine, inc re-bore to +20 thou with the top being skimmed true at the same time. Bottom-end rebuild with new pistons, rings and bearings followed by new timing gear and tensioners.
Cylinder head professionally machined and fitted with hardened valve seats for unleaded petrol. Electronic ignition and a spin-on oil. Fairey overdrive, output shaft seals replaced.
All running gear overhauled with new seals, gaskets as required.
Parabolic springs make for a more compliant ride and the engine has plenty of get up and go and the additional overdrive adds that extra bit of cruising speed on the faster roads.
Upgraded heavy duty roll over bars and brand new sand colour Exmoor trim hood gives great versatility for the changing weather conditions and a more purposeful look overall.
