Description
This 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB is finished in Rosso Formula 1 2007, a colour with a direct connection to the Scuderia’s racing history. Inspired by the red worn by Ferrari’s F2007 Formula One car, it recalls the season in which Kimi Räikkönen secured the Drivers’ World Championship and Ferrari took the Constructors’ title.
The paintwork is a defining feature of this example. Its metallic finish gives the red considerable depth, changing from a darker, richer shade in subdued light to a brighter red in direct sunlight. It is a colour that rewards seeing the car in person, particularly across the curves of the rear wings and the sculpted bonnet. The contrasting black roof complements it beautifully, with yellow brake calipers and Scuderia Ferrari shields providing the finishing touches.
Carbon-fibre detailing extends across the front spoiler, rear air ducts and rear diffuser, accompanied by multi-spoke wheels with carbon-fibre centre caps. The combination gives the car a sporting appearance without distracting from the paintwork.
Inside, Nero leather Daytona carbon-fibre racing seats feature red stitching and embroidered Cavallino emblems on the headrests, paired with matching red seat belts. Carbon fibre continues through the steering wheel with LED shift lights, gearshift paddles, dashboard inserts, central bridge and door panels. A yellow rev counter and Nero Alcantara roof lining complete the cabin.
Ferrari’s 3. 9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the front suspension lifter is a useful addition for steep entrances and speed bumps. Front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera further ease everyday use.
With its Formula One-inspired paintwork, Daytona racing seats and extensive carbon-fibre specification, this example has been configured with a clear appreciation for Ferrari’s sporting heritage.
