Description
This has got to be the bargain of the year! This is a 2001 Mercedes CL500 Coupe, Finished in Silver with Black Leather Interior, 59k Miles from new with a Full History in the hands of only two owners! She is in a nice condition although cosemtically there are a few issues on the body to address, you are simply buy a super low mileage car for the price of a super high mileage car!
The C215-generation CL was Mercedes-Benz's flagship coupé at the turn of the millennium: a pillarless grand tourer bristling with technology that was cutting-edge for its day, from Active Body Control (ABC) suspension to radar-assisted cruise control and keyless go. With its 306bhp 5. 0-litre V8 and effortless five-speed automatic transmission, the CL500 offered a blend of performance and refinement that few rivals could match, and the model has steadily gained recognition among enthusiasts as a result and is looking more and more attractive as the years go by. With the rise in prices of cars from this era, these cannot get any cheaper and good, low mileage cars are bound to rise.
Our car was ordered new from the factory in Brilliant Silver with Black Leather Interior and was first registered in the UK on the 12th April 2001, probably as a Demo, and was then sold to its second owner 1 month later, a Fleet Management company, who held onto the car for 5 years. This was then the second actual owner purchased the car, from a good friend of his, and then held onto it for the next 20 years increasing the mileage gradually to the 59k it now shows. The car has all its original Book pack including the service book with 12 stamps in and then many invoices in addition, the last service was less than 1k miles ago and the ABC pump and system was overhauled about 5 years and 500 miles ago. The last MOT ran out at the end of 2025 and it had no advisories. The car starts and drives perfectly, and feels very tight, as the mileage would suggest. The ABC system has been overhauled but recently a leak has developed and needs further investigation as the White ABC light comes on occasionaly. There are no other warning lights on the dash and the interior looks like 20k miles! The bodywork is a little scruffy in places with a few small areas of corrosion and also a scuff on the rear quarter with two parking sensors dislodged.
These CL500's have every option know to man including A/ C, Sunroof, Heated Seats etc, This is a car to use as it is and gradually improve, the Key Highlights are the low mileage of 59k and the two owners from new, the last for 20 years. She is now looking for a new home and at the current price point, it will not take long!
