Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider 1300 Seconda Serie of 1960, the version with the small rear light, the most beautiful and, not only that, decidedly more comfortable than the Short Wheelbase version, and *** more robust engine and gearbox. Finished in white with black upholstery, Italian from new, restored over thirty years ago and very well maintained, ASI homologated. It is not aesthetically perfect, and one cannot of course expect that from a car restored several years ago, but it holds up well. Or rather, that touch of patina makes it real, and not a showpiece, where you are always afraid it will break, but also, just at the thought of someone admiring it, or taking the luxury of sitting inside. It is a car, and it must be driven, because that is what it was born for. Admiring it or being admired certainly is not enough, if you want to keep it in full working order and give meaning to the purchase. Keeping a suit in the wardrobe for fear of ruining it, what sense is there in taking it home? Better to leave it in the shop. I forgot to mention, besides always having been Italian, and therefore, *** black plates, ***** still its original AR 00102 engine, surely rebuilt over the years, but matching numbers makes all the difference.
