Mercedes-Benz 200TE automatic for sale - Formerly owned by Rolf Harris with signed sun-visor and paperwork to prove! Rare pre-facelift 2 litre 16 valve engine w. 136bhp. The 16v 2 litre engine was introduced a few months before the 124 was rebadged as the E class & as such this car benefits from the classic pre-facelift looks w. the more efficient & powerful engine.
The bodywork is in fantastic condition w. no obvious dents or dings with the exception of a slight crack to the centre of the front bumper below the grille. The white paintwork is in exceptional condition with a lovely shine.
The interior is also in great order with only very gentle ageing to the black leather. I have treated it with Liberon leather cream a few times to keep it conditioned. There are no tears or unstitched areas. She has fully working electric sunroof, front windows & door mirrors. The central locking is fully functioning & I have 2 keys.
She has had 7 previous owners (one being Rolf Harris between 1998 & 2003 whose signature & "Rolfaroo" can be found on the drivers visor. His V5 is also present in the paperwork). There is a decent stamped up service book & plenty of paperwork. Since I have owned her I've had her undersealed to preserve the excellent underside, had a fluid service & both front ball joints replaced due to the usual creaking. All of the above by my local Mercedes-Benz specialist, WDM. She's also just had an additional fluid service.
A quality cd player is fitted, she has the original Mercedes-Benz floor mats & a rubber load liner. I also have a spare pair of wheels w. almost new winter tyres fitted which make her drivable when it snows which seems more & more relevant these days! The original Hughes of Beaconsfield number plates, key ring & tax disc holder are present.
This is my 3rd S124 & I've also owned a couple of 123's. I've always found the 124 to be even better built than the 123 & they really are incredible cars. I am only selling as I use my car for work now & needed a diesel due to the miles I'm doing: I bought a less characterful but dependable S210.
She's covered 129, 500 miles, has MoT until March 27th 2014 (no advisories) & is taxed until the end of October 2013. She is currently kept garaged & looks to have been for most of her life.
We have recently been to Devon & back then down to Le Mans & back in her & she hasn't missed a beat. All carried out in supreme comfort, naturally.
