For sale very rare Avenger only 9 left. Only 2 previous owners. First owner from new 19/ 4/ 1978 to 18/ 1/ 1998. There are 12 old mot, s from 27/ 3/ 1997 at 27, 877 miles Meaning she has covered 3151 miles in the last 16 years.
She also comes with the original service book Fully stamped and overserviced with the original owners name Showing proof of LOW mileage.
I purchased her on 30/ 8/ 2013 with no mot or tax and have carried out a major recommission, service mainly on the braking system but also new fluids plugs filters radflush etc. MOT to 25/ 9/ 2014 and taxed to April 2014.
Please note this Avenger is the far more reliable 69BHP single carb model Fitted with ELECTRONIC ignition from new!
The Manuals state the top speed as 85 MPH and this is entirely practicle!!! Comfortably cruising at 70MPH at 3250RPM in top 4th gear. I have just filled the tank for the 2nd time which shows an around town average of 27. 67MPG.
At present and previously she is running on lead free ADDITIVE. Mileage may increase slightly as she is 100% road legal and a pleasure to use on dry sunny days, I have now covered over 260 test miles since the mot.
Condition wise I would advise viewing first, however I have an INDEPENDANT AGREED valuation through Lancaster insurance (£76. 04) per year of £3250. 00.
Many people use words such as mint immaculate stunning which I, m cautious of. In my view she is a very clean tidy example with a patina of originality that is lost on restored rebuilt classics. Rest assured she receives plenty of positive comments when out.
Besides the service book and old mot, s there is a bootfull of spares 2 workshop manuals and period brochures.
