A lovely 5. 0 Chimaera and fantastic winter project for the competent enthusiast. I bought this low owner, low mileage car with minor front end damage to wing, front valance, bonnet, radiator, fan and one lower wishbone (NOT insurance recorded) and set about repairing and refurbishing it to pristine condition.
Briefly (not exhaustive list) I had the front end repaired by one of the original factory mould makers and had the whole car resprayed in its original metallic red colour. I then set about refurbishing to new condition the front suspension, steering rack, brakes, wishbones (top and bottom). I replaced with new the radiator, fan, discs and pads, Protech shocks, track rod ends, drop links, Polybushes and all nuts and bolts. The fornt chassis was stripped to bare metal (all A1 condition) and either powder coated or treated with POR15 prep, primer and top coat. Hub carriers were blasted, powder coated and fitted with new wheel bearings. New silicon hoses, plugs, leads and plug suppression extentions, lucas coil etc. Oil and filter change completed
Work to compete PARTS INCLUDED: Refurb rear suspension with polybushes; fit new discs and pads; fit handbrake cable; fit new fuel filter.
Other work required to complete: Shot blast and coat rear suspension components. Replace rear window, Replace front screen rubber.
Drain and flush tank, refit exhaust, repair mirror tripds x 2, fit new front indicators and headlight units. Recommission engine, which has done only 25, 556 miles with 2 owners.
The interior is in very good condition in line with its low mileage and doesn't require refurbishment.
I have invested many (enjoyable) hours and about £11, 500 - including purchase price in this project to date and most of the difficult stuff had been done. For not a lot of cash and a few days effort over the winter months you could have yourself a very nice 5. 0 Chim.

Unfortunately I am unable to complete myself - I'm 1/ 3 of way through a major self build house project with no spare time and shortly no storage!! Therfore offering at givewaway price of £6500. No offers, if it doesn't sell I'll put under covers and finish next autumn in my super new garage!!
