Quantum Saloon (Coupe), Based on 1987/ 8 MK2 Ford Fiesta XR2, finished in white gel coat, has been fitted with a MK2 Ford Fiesta 1. 1 engine with 4 speed gearbox which has only covered a genuine 62k this is due to failure of the XR2 running gear, still surprisingly nippy with great fuel economy due to incredibly lightweight construction & would be perfect for young driver/ first car due to incredibly low insurance costs (less than £600. 00 fully comp for a 17 year old) but is still registered as a 1. 6 on the V5 document should you wish to re-install a 1. 6 CVH engine as still retains XR2 Drive Shafts, hubs, brakes & fuel tank etc.
Mot’d until July 2015 & currently on Sorn, starts on the button & runs & drives very well. Bodywork is very good however not perfect but consistent with age of vehicle, the interior does require some TLC but is perfectly useable, Ghia seats are good but the rear seat base does not match the rest & is a bit tired & the finish around the interior windows does need some fettling or simply use as is however for materials on eBay & a few hours work this would cost less than £40. 00 to transform!
Fitted with 14” Quantum alloy wheels with very good tyres, new complete exhaust system, brake flexi hoses & recent battery.
Nice & simple mechanics, manual choke & very cheap to run & maintain, basic spec consisting of wind up windows, no electrical gizmos, no power steering so nothing at all to go wrong!
There is no stereo currently fitted & the rev counter only works intermittently otherwise everything in working order. As previously mentioned above the interior does require some TLC & there are a few age related marks to the body & some crazing on the top of boot lid & there is a crack in the windscreen, none of these have bothered me as it is still perfectly presentable & useable & would take more time than money to resolve or leave as is & simply enjoy!

This is a full 4 seater kit car with rear seat belts & a huge boot so very practical, used to commute over 300 miles per week for work & is totally reliable.
