84K, Original car in the same colourscheme as the one in the 1983 adverts. (Framed copy included).
Original Speedlines (restored) with 5 matching tyres, PAS, electric mirrors, stainless steel exhaust pipes, original Lotus stereo.
New brake master cylinder, new pads all round, new ignition leads, new plugs, new air filter, new bonnet ram.
Only modification is a Malpassi filter king pressure regulator/ filtration unit.
I rescued this car from long term storage in a dry garage and have owned it for 18 months. It has been on the road with me for over a year now, but is hardly used as I have other classics. It was at Brands Hatch Lotus Festival a couple of weeks ago.
Car is not perfect, but pretty good for a narrow body excel and with some modest outlay and tinkering time could become very good indeed.
Interior is generally good, but not perfect - some shrinkage at the dashtop under windscreen, and headlining ok, but not perfect.
Exterior is similar - generally good, with one fault being a 2-3cm crack in the paintwork at the front corner from a historic repair (sinkage).
A full list of all the little items I would attend to is available on request. I'm time short and am happy to sell it as is for 3K. No offers as I know if I put the car on a well known auction site I would probably get more.
A narrow body excel in original condition with relatively low mileage is a rare thing.... rarer still at £3K.
