A genuine 2CV Charleston model with the more desirable large speedo, single spoke steering wheel and enhanced door trims. Registered late 1980 it is of course Paris built, has disc brakes and like early models distinguishable by the absence of the rear front wing direction indicators and an engine with the more desirable metal cowlings.
Subject of a major restoration, the body sitting on the all important galvanised chassis, by The 2CV Shop in 2007 and bearing their plaque on the bulkhead. The engine was also rebuilt with new barrels, pistons and cylinder heads and a new clutch fitted.
The gearbox received a recent overhaul by renowned expert Rick Pembro and of course peened to prevent unwinding when reversing.
The black painted bodywork was refreshed in 2015 to remedy stone chips on the wings.
The last owner had the car for over 25 years and cherished it, in total there are bills exceeding £10K. The mileage recorded is 46, 300.
Highly polished genuine Robri stone guards are fitted to front and rear wings. Apart from enhancing the look of the car the rear ones really do help minmise stone chips.
Easy to start as fitted with 123 electronic ignition. Also fitted with a reed valve engine breather which does not need to be replaced like the standard ones.
Recent Lip Hydramax shock absorbers fitted to front and rear.
New high quality diamond pattern seat covers with the correct plain sides. New seat rubber springs front and rear and base foam to front seats. Grey body felt replaced along with a new front and rear parcel shelf. The door cards and rubber mats are unmarked.
A Matts fabric soft top is fitted which is so much easier to open fully than the vinyl type which shrink across the B pillars and eventually split.
Stainless steel fittings include bumpers, the very rare GS wheel trims, wiper stalks, petrol filler cap, front window catches and front/ rear wing bolts.
Recent chrome headlamp shells and roof gutters fitted.
An alloy vent flap is fitted and does not show the spot weld depressions like the steel type.
The heat exchangers fuction well and new heater tubes are fitted along with a new underbonnet soundproofing pad.
Front indicator lamps have stainless steel bolts and nuts for trouble free electrical earthing.

Fresh underseal and cavity oil done in 2015.
Comes with two sets of keys, tools, winter muff and wooden chock.
Full service, engine oil/ filter, gearbox oil and grease less than 500 miles ago. MOT till 6th March 2017.
