Beschreibung
First registered in January 1996. I am the fourth owner, having purchased the car 10 years ago at c. 55, 000 miles.
It is part of a small collection and has been my daily driver for the past 12 months. The odometer now reads a believed genuine 85, 000 miles.
It has an extensive service history, both at main dealers and specialists, with over £10, 000 spent over the last 10, 000 miles alone to keep this car in its current condition.
New tyres were fitted c. 5, 000 miles ago, the most recent service was carried out on May 17th and a suspension overhaul was completed at the Mercedes main dealer on June 5th.
The MOT is valid until next April and all invoices and MOT history are available for inspection.
It's in excellent condition for its age, is a pleasure to drive and often attracts attention and appreciative comments from people commenting on its condition and "presence".
The W140 series S Class models are highly regarded and came from a time when the Mercedes engineers seemed to have a louder voice than the accountants; the build quality of this car is fantastic.
In addition, this flagship model has a huge specification including double glazing, glass sunroof, soft close doors, heated front and rear seats, a charcoal alcantara headlining and a Becker Radio/ CD/ Cassette linked to a Nokia Bluetooth system.
Currently sitting on 18" AMG wheels, the original 17" Mercedes alloys also come with the car.
The 6 litre V12 gives rapid progress at the same time as a very refined ride.
I understand that the W140 series S600 was recently highlighted as a sound future investment by Quentin Wilson in Classic Cars magazine and this wonderful example can be viewed by appointment and, of course, any inspection would be more than welcome.
