Honda CBN750 KZ. A Fully restored and rebuilt version of this very rare limited edition bike! this will become a future classic like the earlier K2 and can only be considered to be an investment. These new DOHC models very originally only sold in the USA but a few were sold in Europe and this bike was purchased new in France and later imported into the UK in 1986. The bike is a rare 1979-1980 model. The European Speedo was showing 28000 kilometers but I have been fortunate to find an English speedo and have rebuilt this to show 22000 miles.
The bike has been professionally restored by 2 engineers who have been involved in motorbikes for longer than I can remember. The bike was recovered from a barn in 2015 and has had a no expense full restoration. 4 into 4 Exhausts were sourced from the USA but fortunately 99% of other parts are available from “David Silver Spares” the classic Honda expert UK Company. Here is an example of work undertaken...... Hoses are stainless braided, calipers fully refurbished, discs new or refurbished, electrics re fettled, all new bearings etc, engine garnet blasted and all alloy covers polished, all new chrome to existing parts (we used the best chrome in the UK). New tyres, chain, correct Comstock wheels sourced from the USA.
I purchased a full carburettor rebuild kits and had the carbs sonic and garnet cleaned , then rebuilt with full jet kits and new intake rubber manifolds, she was then fully tuned by one of the leading 4 cyl Honda experts and finally spent over £1000 on its fantastic paintwork.
The bike now looks like its standing new in a showroom and ready to go. I had it MOT the other day and last week in the sunshine I took her out to make sure all new parts were bed in etc... She runs fantastic with a very strong engine and after 30minutes no signs of any leaks or other problems. This was the very last of the Honda air cooled bikes and this fantastic style of the “ 1970, s “ is now very much in demand... the reaction I had on the road was incredible and the sound through the American exhausts was stunning and the bike has to be seen to be believed.
The older Honda 4 750 sohc bikes are now rapidly increasing in price and some models are reaching £25000, this is an opportunity to purchase a future classic which can only increase in value...
