Hi. I’m regrettably selling my supercharged, 2. 0 litre, 8 valve Corrado g60 finished in tornado red. J reg, 1992.
M. O. T is due in October 2017.
The car has had no expense spared on it with receipts totalling around £10, 000 in the engine alone. It has undergone an extensive overhaul at around 80, 000 miles in 2004 by performance specialists TSR and includes:
TSR 2. 0 litre spa long stroke engine upgrade.
Ported, flowed and polished pack A head.
Grey injectors.
Schrick 286 degree cam.
Vibratechnics engine mounts.
Magnacore race leads.
K and N performance air filter.
Baffled sump and windage tray.
Custom front mounted sports intercooler.
Polo G40 spark plugs.
Bahn Brenner Motorsport, twin screw compressor supercharger with a 50mm pulley. (I would recommend searching for this on youtube so you can hear it before you enquire about the car as it makes a much more pronounced blower sound than the g-lader, and for some is a bit much!)
Jabbasport custom chip and engine remap.
Quaife 6-speed racing gearbox with black Diamond heavy duty vr6 clutch.
Magnex stainless steel sports exhaust with decat.
Tsr 4-2-1 stainless steel manifold.
Koni coil over suspension kit. (back coilovers are currently cheap ones. Had a broken spring on one of the Koni - changed it to pass mot. Will be included in the sale)
Brembo 306mm brakes and 4pot callipers on the front. Mk4 golf rear callipers all with steel braided hoses
Wheels are very rare 17inch BBS RC’s. Toyo tyres on the front and yokohamas on the back.
The car really is in remarkable condition considering its age. Really has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. No rust in any of the usual places like arches or sills. There is a tiny rust spot, below the spoiler, measuring about 3mm across, but it hasn’t come through the paint. The paintwork is still gleaming and is not at all faded or flaking anywhere. She has always been kept garaged and only driven on dry days. There are a couple of age related marks such as a few stone chips at the front and on the arches and a minor parking scuff on the back bumper. These are all barely noticeable until you get really close.
The interior is completely original except for the c. d player and a dash light for the immobiliser. It comes with black carpets and mats, full black leather seats and door cards, again, these are all in immaculate condition, no rips, tears or burns and the leather has been regularly treated.
The car has an extensive service history. I have a folder full of bills documenting everything done to the car over the years. The original manuals and service book are all present. full vw stamped service history up to 90k and services from jabbasport and local garages since then.
The Car was a magazine feature car in Golf+ in 2005 and was dyno’d at 282BHP at the flywheel. It has only done 20, 000 miles since all the engine work was completed.
This has been my dream car ever since I saw it in Golf+. I even had the double page spread stuck on my wall as a kid! I bought it just over 2 years ago (when I had no kids) with the intention of keeping for the rest of my life and I’m absolutely gutted I need to sell it. Only reason I'm selling is due to the arrival our 2nd child and, unfortunately for me, I can’t really afford to keep it and feel I won't be able to give her the love and attention she deserves.
