BSA Gold Star 600cc DBD34 Electric start 1957
I’ve owned the bike for 19 years during which I’ve made numerous upgrades and improvements:
• Engine checked, verified and rebuilt as 600cc by Phil Pearson including all new bearings and replacement of worn parts
• New 95 stroke Pearson crankshaft (65 tons per sq inch chromium molybdenum steel, needle roller big-end, Carrillo con-rod, all press fit)
• New 90 bore Pearson cylinder barrel with Wiseco forged piston
• New Pearson vernier cams (clubmans)
• Pearson clutch conversion
• Pearson Electric start conversion
• Alton alternator
• Dow TLS 190mm front brake
• Dow two way fork dampers and finned tappet cover
• GP carb re-sleeved by Phil Pearson including his Weber needle valve conversion
• RRT2 gearbox rebuilt by John Gleed
Currently fitted with touring handlebars for comfort. Since the rebuild, engine has been carefully run in and covered less than 2, 000 miles.
I’ve invested lots of time and money on the bike to make it mechanically excellent and ensure reliability for many years to come. The engine is obviously simple to start and the extra torque coupled to a decent clutch makes it much easier to ride in traffic. I have no time to ride it these days though, hence very reluctant sale.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a matching numbers bike (which is reflected in the price) and with its plethora of upgrades, perhaps more suitable for the rider than collector.
