Here for sale we have a beautiful and very rare automatic Defender 90. This automatic box is mated to the unburstable and highly reliable 300tdi diesel engine. These engines are far preferred over ECU controlled later units, due to their simple maintenance and reliability.
Externally, this is one stunning looking 90 - with lots of "nods" to the older Series vehicles it followed - the cappings and detailings are finished to reflect this era, and colour coded modulars with period tyres are fitted to keep the look going. There is awning away wheel carrier for the spare, and the front grill is also colour coded to match. A pair of side steps with extra side impact protection are also fitted.
On the inside there are two lovely, elephant hide, high back 90 seats, and the rear also has a pair of bench seats - should rear windows be needed, these can be fitted at extra cost.
Out on the road, this vehicle excels, with power steering and smooth power delivery to the automatic gearbox - it really is rather civilised.
In addition to all this, the chassis has survived in really good, solid order, so it not only looks good, but IS good too!
In summary, this is, in our opinion, an extremely handsome, solid, rare 90, with stunning individual details - ideal for the owner who dreams of a series Land Rover® but wants the comfort and refinement of a Defender - and with the power steering and modern styling, we think it's a great combination.
