Here we have for sale my 190E Carat Duchatelet, it has the full body kit which includes front skirt with fog lights, side panels,, boot spoiler and they are stamped SP0007, which is its number. It has a set of 1990s Momo alloy wheels which have been on the car since the mid 1990s.
The car has been serviced every 10000 miles but the service book is missing but has a load of invoices for parts etc, the engine and gearbox are superb, the gearbox was recently refurbished, the tyres are good. The car looks and drives superb and always gets attention everywhere it goes, people think it is a Cosworth with its body kit as they look very much the same.
The interior is superb as you would expect from a 1990s Mercedes and has mats over the mats to keep it as clean as possible . I believe the kit was done when new by the supplying dealer , as they where very expensive to do at the time.
Being 25 years old it does have some bad points, but not many and they are/ the sunroof is very slow, but does work, it has had some paintwork in its time and I can see the odd imperfection in it, other people don't but I am fussy, the wheels could do with a refurb and it has age related chips and very small dents, as said some people wouldn't notice but I do. The electric Ariiel needs replacing, new one supplied, and a new door lock again supplied with the car.
The car has done 146000 miles, may increase a bit as I may enjoy it a bit before it goes, it was MOTd in December and has done very little miles since and has sat in a heated garage when not in use, the car has only had 4 owners from new.
I know these can make silly money if perfect, that was my intention to do and then keep it locked away for a few years, but pending move to Spain means it has to go, I even looked into converting to L HD but it was too expensive and would lead to all sorts of problems going forward.
So in summary this is a very nice honest car , not perfect, but could be with very little effort, all the hard work is done with it, just needs loving , and enjoying or drive round in as is, it looks great.
