HOLDEN ROVER 1953 80 inch. Great original condition 53. 80inch i bought this 80 a couple of years ago off the nephew of the original owner still working on the same farm 60 years later spraying weeds. Brief history is that it was purchased new buy his uncle. And was used continuously over the decades on the farm. In the 1960s the original engine was getting tired and they mail orderd a conversion kit from REPCO and had it sent to the farm where they carried out the conversion in the shed. They done a fantastic job of the conversion, and was a Labour of love as can be seen with the finnishing touch of the badge. There was still a huge centimental attachment to this 80 when i bought it. Most holden conversions were a bit of a hack job to get back working . This vehicle is really an exeption to the rule. I was going to keep for my private collection and never touch the conversion as its just to much apart of its history. I have the original engine which was still on the farm unfortunatly the shed fell down around it over the years and it got water in it. But its still rebuildable and will go with HOLDEN ROVER.
