Passed MOT with NO Advisories, at 44, 944 miles
a new Speedo was fitted after the last MOT, reading 44, 944 miles. Bike now at 44, 945 so never used since!
Failed Previous MOT on 21 March 2014 at 114, 940 miles on
"Rear suspension component excessively corroded. (2. 4. A. 1a)"
that's the swinging arm the bike was taken off the road for a while and the swinging arm was replaced with a new one
& had the Speedo change.
BAD BITS!
because it has not been used the following will need doing for MOT
- front & rear brakes binding slightly (but do work)
- clutch slave cylinder seized or seal gone
(not Dripping oil)
- cracked number plate
- slight blow from exhaust manifold gasket ring
the following are just some cosmetic bits.
- the 2 police switches missing
- missing police top box
- weep from folk seals, not bad and should pass mot.
- minor scratches ect due to use.
GOOD BITS
- New front tyre (Dunlop K505F 110/ 80V18)
- Recent back tyre (Bridgestone Battlax BT021R 160/ 70ZR17)
- New swinging arm 2014-16ish.
- Runs well and starts on the button.
- No Overheating
- Gives out Good Charge
- Gear box Seems OK (as far as I can check)
- Discs and pads all look good.
- All electrics work.
- Good Number plate (L41 TTJ or 141- TTT if you happy to play)
Other than that the bike is all in fairly standard good order for its age.
I bought it as a winter project but this sort of thing isn't my era!
I like anything pre 80s this it too heavy and covered in plastic for me to get my teeth into and enjoy!
thought about cutting about but I think I'll let it go and look for something ells instead that more suits.
