Charterhouse Auctioneers are pleased to offer this lot in their classic motorbike auction on Sunday 4th February at the Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet BA4 6QN, in conjunction with the Bristol Classic MotorCycle Show.

The auction starts at 12 noon. Viewing on Saturday 3rd February 9am until 5pm and on the morning of the sale from 9am.

Lot 35

A 1952 Douglas 80 Plus, registration number GSK 130, frame number 11437, engine number 11181/ 80, gearbox number 80/ 401, maroon. This rare matching numbers Douglas is believed to be one of only 268 produced making it a desirable model. Our vendor advises us that the Douglas has recently been rebuilt with the engine having a reconditioned crank, rebore and new Honda pistons. The wheels have been rebuilt with new spokes, the headlight and saddle are new items and the magneto, dynamo and speedo have all been reconditioned. The accompanying history file contains letters from the owners club detailing that the original supplying dealer was W Coombes of Allrington who took delivery on 27th August 1951, DVLA history showing previous owners since 1991, various tax discs and sundry paperwork. V5C, MOT and tax exempt
