This Lancia has just been shipped over from Johannesburg, which has the perfect climate for motor vehicles.
The Fulvia is now here with myself in the UK.
It is good to know the cars last 48 odd years were spent in the South African sun!
Car is NOVA registered and all taxes and vat have been paid by myself.
I will supply the original SA logbook and a full receipt.
This is a very, very nice car. It is not perfect, but will probably be the cheapest (non restoration) rhd Rallye in the country.
Unlike the UK later series cars, which had staggered headlights, due to UK regulations at the time the series 1 cars had the much prettier same level headlights.
If you cannot afford or are not willing to pay for a HF or Fanalone, this is about as close as you can get, at a fraction of the cost.
Series 1 Rallye models are the ones to have. They were the last Fulvia to be truly made by Lancia and excatly how they wanted the car to be, before the Fiat takeover.
Good Points,
This Fulvia has the correct alloy panels, both doors, bootlid and bonnet.
The subframe mounting points look very solid.
The engine runs and sounds absolutely beautiful, no smoke shakes or rattles.
Correct 4 speed gearbox.
I have not driven the car fully, but my friend in SA has and he has confirmed how well it drives.
The Fulvia has the correct vin number for a series 1 Rallye
Also the correct engine number for a 1300cc Rallye.
Bodywork is very straight.
Interior in very good condition.
All steel work is very good and undamaged.
Quarter opening windows, which was an optional extra.
No sunroof.
Bad Points,
Paint is good but not perfect.
Has had two small plates on the passenger side floor.
Slight scratches on the roof, caused during shipping, these could be removed with a good flat and polish.
Rear light was damaged during shipping, but i have a spare.
The registration process is very simple and i can advise on the procedure.
