Description

Cycle Cars - light sporty two-seaters with their thin bicycle wheels - experienced a certain popularity in the twenties, but none of the brands could stand up for a long time. The letters G. N. mean: Godfrey and Nash, to the owners of the same name. The first G. N.'s had drive with leather belts and a steering system with steel cables. Later models received a real transmission, steering rods and also a real steel chassis instead of wood. But the two-cylinder v-engine with air cooling has been maintained for years. Around the year 1920, the products of G. N.'s reached a peak, with sometimes 50 delivered copies per week. A short time later the English public chose the more comfortable closed family car with the result that in 1925 the brand disappeared.
