This is a rare old car, the predecessor to the Austin A90, the A70 was similar in style to the A40 Somerset, but a little larger with the 2. 2 litre engine, so it has a reasonable bit of power.
This example doesn’t come with much history (V5C and some old mot’s), but it has obviously had a fair bit of restoration a few years ago, the body and chassis are very sound with quite a lot of recently repaired and replaced parts. The chrome work, whilst not perfect is very presentable, including the usually grotty ”mazac” parts, that have been replaced or rechromed.
. The mainly original interior is presentable and comfortable, with plenty of character, and room for all the family.
The car drives nicely, with plenty of oomph up the hills, the brakes pull up well, making it very useable.
Being an older restoration there are one or two small areas of bubbling in the paintwork, but on the whole it polishes up well.
The car will be sold with a full service and fresh mot (even though it is exempt).
