Description
This rare classic Batmobile was fully restored just over two ago and was owned by the world's oldest ice cream man - Cavaliere Giovanni Rozzo. Google his name and you will see him driving his van on the ITV news. Sadly Giovanni passed away last November just two months short of his 105th birthday.
The van also featured in Van and Classic Pickup.
No expense has been spared. The engine has been fully stripped and rebuilt, new clutch and gearbox, water pump, electric screen wash, new window wiper motor, exhaust and rewiring.
Brand new freezer compressor, floor, genuine Whitby Morrison Formica 'Balloon Man' counters and ceiling, and LED interior light.
It has a large 2 lid freezer, a sink unit with hot water which runs off the engine and conforms to present day Health and Safety laws.
It has been painted in genuine Walls livery of the 1960s/ 70s.
It has a new set of Harvin chimes which play O Solo Mio (just one cornetto)
There are only two known restored HA Batmobile ice cream vans and one is in the Whitby Morrison Heritage Collection in Lyons Maid colours. There is also an Oxford diecast model based on this van.
A very rare van, which runs beautifully, with a great history and which will always turns heads.
