Beschreibung

Early 1935 car with flat glassed headlamps; early rear wing pattern. Standard 6 volt. Proper useable condition - and everything overhauled.

new Phoenix tuned 1936 engine OR option on rebuilt 65 engine, 30VE1 carb and gearbox.

Extremely good photographic history - a magazine cover car in early 1940s and photos from 1960s, 1980s to the present restoration file. Two continuation log books, modern V5C in my name etc.

Rebuilt chassis during 2012 and little used. Rust cut out and body patch repaired to retain as much of original as possible. Door fit excellent. Edges of floorpan and door hinge area strengthened with square section steel tubing to address weak Nippy areas.

HC engine rebuilt by engineer has 4 oil jets, enlarged oil pump, lip seal, new pistons, Phoenix rods and crank, enlarged valves, standard cam and radiused followers, lightened flywheel - all photographed. (See option below for original 65/ Nippy unit with 1. 5" crank and Nippy 'S' marked gearbox)

New-old-stock 19mm downdraft Zenith (model used for Nippy after VE1 discontinued) on both original Nippy manifolds; Dante alloy valve cover and alloy finned alloy sump.

Later ’S’ marked 5. 25 axle

good patinated coachwork in rare Austin sports colour Atlantic Green; wings original, no rot anywhere but commensurate with age.

Rechromed cowl and screen, correct rubber; stone guard is also present.

Running as it has since the 1950s on restored 17” wheels and with hydraulic brakes with silicone fluid and very well fitted (thin section) reinforced flexible hoses.

Lots of original parts - smooth rear lamp lenses, dash carpets, boot tools and storage blocks including jack mount, steering column cover plate, sports clutch pedal, door locks and chrome covers.

New black leather seats/ pneumatic cushions; new black trim.

Duck tonneau for day to day use.

1950s sidescreens, restored original hood frame. Early hood of original design for re-trim pattern or for originality use.

Leather door straps and correct pattern end caps

mahogany (black) underbonnet tool box

original repainted number plates and spare cast aluminium plates from 1940s

Durite heavy duty battery isolator, new 80ah Exide battery

period heavy duty rubber interior matting

Lights - indicators presently running in wing sidelights and hidden within rear SK38 units.

Do not want to sell but family pressing for 4 seat trips to justify continued Austin 7 ownership! Still needs running in.

EXTRA COST OPTION ON RARE newly professionally rebuilt original crack-tested 1. 5" crank/ 65 crankcase engine, original 30 VE1 carb engine and original Nippy gearbox which is currently on an engine stand for demonstration - i. e. I would very happy to retain the existing engine - please ask for further details.

1. Car could be sold ex engine/ box, (and/ or ex wheels) for cost reduction

2. Priced with new Phoenix engine

3. Car with full 65 engine and Nippy box for cost addition
