1985 FORD SIERRA XR4X4
We are extremely pleased to be able to offer for sale this stunning recently purchased mark one sierra XR4x4 .
The vehicle has had only four owners from new with the previous owner owning for 16 years. The vehicle is genuinely only 3 owners from new but had to have an owner added recently as the last owner was deceased and the v5 had been lost .
We are in possession of a number of previous MOT’s and lots of service invoices and receipts that confirm this has been a cherished well looked after vehicle and would suggest that its 37000 miles is genuine, however not guaranteed due to the age of the vehicle.
The last long term owner had the vehicle regularly maintained by his local ford main dealer (we have photographed the significant invoices for any potential buyer to inspect .
In addition to this there is significant expenditure in 2006 to prepare the car for MOT. a total of £1200 spent to include:
new jacking points welded in place
new exhaust
new steering rack gaiter
tyres
free off handbrake
new brake pipes
wheel bearing
welding to subframe mounts, lower wings and sills
new sills
fit new doors (supplied)
new heater matrix clips
waxoyl to arches, boot area, doors and sills.
The vehicle has only completed a further 6000 miles since all these works were completed.
Since we purchased the car we have spent in excess of £2500 getting the car to the standard that you see before you.
This includes:
new front wings
new rear arches
replace rear spoiler
new front fogs
full service including plugs, leads, distributor and all filters
new exhaust backbox
underside waxoyled including sills
The car had an MOT in January of this year and had a clean bill of health.
The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that the rear spoiler has not been fitted in the photographs. This took weeks to find and is presently being prepared to be fitted. I will post updated pictures once this is in place in the next couple of days. The old one was removed and replaced due to it losing its shape as the internal bracket expands with rust as the get older .
I do also have pictures of the engine bay, these are a little dirty as the inner wings and lots of parts have been wax coated for preservation and to remove this would not only be very time consuming but will also remove the protection
