The Atelier des 1000 is pleased to present for sale this magnificent Austin Healey 3000 MkII type BJ7 in a chic and elegant configuration with its Colorado Red finish and black interior with matching piping.
The Big Healey is a timeless car, perfectly balanced thanks to the inline six which combines flexibility and torque.
The model we are presenting has undergone a full body-off restoration between 2021 and 2022. A file of invoices totalling over €35, 000 accompanies the car.
The body has been stripped and the chassis replaced with a new one in order to assemble this Healey under perfect conditions.
Significant sheet-metal work was carried out before painting, and all chrome and fittings have been replaced.
The upholstery as well as the hood and carpets have, of course, not been neglected and have been completely rebuilt by an upholsterer.
A Moto Lita wooden steering wheel completes the chic and sporty, typically British interior.
The instrumentation and the entire wiring loom were renewed on this occasion.
The engine has also been reconditioned and is in full health; it delivers a throaty six-cylinder Healey note. The gearbox, whose seals were revised, engages properly and is fitted with overdrive.
An aluminium radiator has also been installed to improve engine cooling.
As for the running gear, it is precise and braking is perfectly effective. The car wears Michelin tyres and has retained its painted wire wheels in keeping with the original.
As handsome underneath as on show, the restoration was carried out to the highest standards and not done on the cheap.
This mythic English roadster is therefore once again ready to cruise the roads with serenity: escape and thrills guaranteed!
